JUNO / TOYOTA
Juno is an electric compact van with an interior that is as flexible and adaptable as the furniture in a living room. It can be simply configured as a luxurious three seater or an effective 5 seater, depending on the life stage and needs. Third party partnerships cater to different styles and preferences.

Our research found that many compact car owners in Japan spend a good amount of time in their cars without moving an inch. For many, it is the only private space they own and it serves as a personal retreat, either to take a call or read a book. They are willing to sacrifice additional seats for extra comfort.

The flat open space and different interior modules provide heaps of flexibility. Changes to the layout and purpose of the space can be reconfigured at Toyota service points. The skateboard platform comes with integrated batteries, while the four motors are housed in the wheels.

The concept is the northstar project for Toyota’s new UX division in Tokyo and the first human centered project the team is developing. The concept has successfully been integrated into Toyota’s product development process and received internal funding for a release in 2028. This project was developed prior to the Strays Collective, produced by IDEO and designers from our current team.
